› Description
St. Thomas mushrooms (also known as 'bubble mushrooms') are a large and beautiful species of Discosoma native to the Caribbean. A full sized St. Thomas mushrooms can reach up to 15 cm in diameter. They usually have translucent tissue with warty vesicles that adorn the oral disc. Aqua-green color morphs are the most common, with blue and neon green being more rare, and fluorescent red, yellow, and orange considered the 'holy grails' for corallimorph collectors.
Please note that it is not uncommon for St. Thomas mushrooms to literally turn their guts inside out during shipping. Don't fret! Once acclimated, they will return to normal over the course of an hour or two.
St. Thomas mushrooms will slowly sting Ricordea polyps, so we recommend that you keep some space between the species.
